Now, with the Autofill integration with Android Oreo, automatic login has become as easy on mobile devices as it was on the desktop. But, they always remained a cause of pain whenever I had to use the login information on my Android apps, but, not anymore. So now, let’s just get into the methodology.ġ. ![]() Needless to say, you need to be logged in with the same Google account on your device which you are using the Chrome browser on your desktop. So, let us take a look at both the methods one by one.Īs I mentioned earlier, Google uses your passwords that you have saved while using the Chrome browser to let you use its auto fill feature. Autofill with Google uses the passwords that are saved by Google Smart Lock via its Chrome browser. ![]() Even if you don’t use any password manager (which I highly recommend that you do), you can still use it directly using Autofill with Google. Since the launch of Android Oreo, most of the major password managers like LastPass, 1Password, and Dashlane have rolled out updates to support this feature. Using The Autofill Feature in Android Oreo Note: I tried the Autofill feature on my Nexus 5X and Google Pixel running Android Oreo 8.0.0.

![]() Sonos simply provides an API for them to interface with. It was 100% the responsibility of the service provider. Sonos always said they don't have control of the plugin. A little transparency about what has transpired regarding their attempts to integrate with Plex would be very welcomed and people would be able to move on.įYI, I spent years going back and forth with Sonos about this same thing. In the end, it still comes back to BlueSound not communicating with us. ![]() Maybe the user base is just too small here to dedicate their staff to this project. The other possible scenario is that they contacted Plex and they declined to provide their service to BlueSound. They are very unreliable as a service partner and BlueSound would probably prefer not have Plex at all, than to have the service and then be inundated with tickets like, "Help, I'm authenticated in Plex, but I keep getting 'playback has failed' errors".Ģ. It sat dormant for nearly 3 years in Sonos Labs while it remained more or less non functional for the vast majority of users (just search the Plex forums and you'll see what I mean). Just look at how many years it took them to make the Plex plugin for Sonos functional. They know Plex and their long history of neglecting vast portions of their own service. It's very likely that there are multiple reasons why BlueSound has not implemented the Plex service:ġ. Yes, it's very simple and straight forward for me to implement their API in my own personal app, but for commercial purposes BlueSound needs to reach out to Plex and request that they support a plugin for their BluOS ecosystem. The main thing everyone needs to know is that Plex does not have an open/public API. When a company doesn't respond to their customers, support forums like this tend to gravitate to the extremes. You need to either pull you finger out on software development, or make the strategic decision that UI integration with partners such as Roon and Plex is the future and concentrate on the hardware and a great API (though there absolutely should NOT be a ongoing cost burden to customers to have a decent software interface like Roon). It would be hard for me to recommend anyone to commit to the Bluesound ecosystem now - at least unless they were also prepared to pay the significant ongoing annual price of a Roon subscription. * and if you think that BluOS does integrate local libraries and online music services, then I'd suggest you don't understand the problem that users are trying to solve.Īs a Bluesound system owner there has been no sign over the last 5 years that you are keeping up on the software/UI front which is really disappointing. Plex would be a great (and cheaper) alternative if it could manage Bluesound hardware. But at least Roon looks great and does a halfway decent job of integrating* my local digital library with a lossless online service (TIDAL). Since Plex integration appears to be off the table, I have moved to Roon - which is galling because it is expensive, and I resent having to pay for a decent software interface given the premium cost of Bluesound hardware. I think it is less about Plex integration, and more about the failings of the BluOS user interface. Bluesound, I really beg that you take the feedback in this (now very aged) thread seriously. ![]() switch on/off “cheating” mode: show all possible destinations Ĭlick the “Read rules” button on the main screen to watch an interactive tutorial. switch on/off Super Chinese Checkers mode ![]() choose interface theme and game board theme adjust interface sounds volume (button clicks, moves, game end & other sounds) It allows you to configure the game to match your preferences. Prior to the procedure, you will do a bowel preparation to clear out the colon. This procedure may sound scary - but it isn’t. This is why a colonoscopy is often referred to as a direct visualization test. The colonoscope has a digital camera and light attached to the end that allows doctors to see any abnormalities. Portable storage means that you will be able to freely take the SD card out of the device and plug it into your PC, as demonstrated in the video above. It will ask you to choose between the default portable storage option, or using the card as internal storage. When using Android 10 or below, you may get prompted to “set the SD card up” when first inserting the SD card. If you have a microSD card slot on your device, you may have some decisions to make regarding how the storage works. This guide will walk you through how to compress many of the CD-based systems PlayStation, Sega CD, Saturn, 3DO, Dreamcast, Jaguar, and TurboGrafx-CD (PC Engine CD). When building your ROM library, another handy trick is to compress your files to save on storage space. Here is more information about BIOS files. Note that PS2 BIOS files can be easily dumped from your PS2, or you will need to find them elsewhere. These files are copyrighted so you are on your own to find them, but a quick search for a RetroArch bios pack should get you on your way. BIOS files are system files necessary for some emulators (GBA, Sega CD, or PS1/PS2), and are helpful in improving accuracy with other systems. If your game name matches the thumbnail name found in this directory, chances are that it will properly download the media for it.Īdditionally, an important component of a ROM library is maintaining BIOS files. If you have a question as to how a game should be named, I recommend checking out the Libretro thumbnails directory, which is what many emulators pull from for their media files. By using no-intro naming, you will be more likely to get box art automatically added when you load up your games in RetroArch or most frontends. When getting ROM files, I recommend using the “No-Intro” naming convention, which is the standard naming used for ROM sets within RetroArch and other emulation communities. ROM files are copyrighted and will not be shared on this website. For PS2 and GameCube on lower-end Android devices, I recommend getting PAL region ROMs, because they cap out at 50Hz which will give you better performance than struggling to reach the standard 60Hz found in NTSC region ROMs. Those noted with an asterix cannot play every game at full speed, and so performance may vary. Here is a general list of systems that can be played on Android. This controller also has a power passthrough, so you can charge the phone while playing (sadly the USB-C passthrough does not support video out).Īnother important aspect of retro gaming is to build your ROM library. This USB-C controller will wrap around the phone and provide a more seamless experience than clipping a controller to your phone. If you are using an Android phone, then I recommend a telescopic controller like the GameSir X2. Note that in order to use a USB controller, you will also need an OTG adapter to plug the controller into the device’s USB-C port (you could also use a USB hub to plug in multiple controllers at once!). You could use a bluetooth controller like the 8BitDo SN30 Pro, or a wired controller like the Betop BD2E. Speaking of controllers, there are plenty of options out there, but I prefer to use something that’s somewhat retro-friendly. You can use a larger card than these but then you’ll have a card that costs more than the device itself, and are you really going to play more than 512GB of games at once? 128GB cards: A 256GB or 512GB card will allow you to store even more of those larger games. A 128GB card will allow you to load EVERY 8-bit and 16-bit game out there, just all of the arcade games that work, and quite a few PS1, Dreamcast, PSP, GameCube, PS2, and Sega CD games (those systems have the largest file sizes). In general, I would expect to pay $20 for a 128GB card, $30 for a 256GB card, and $60 for a 512GB. ![]() The prices fluctuate all the time, so keep an eye out for deals. In general, I prefer the cards listed below, in order or preference. I recommend using a card from reputable brands like SanDisk or Samsung to use in your device. Some Android devices will have a microSD card slot, which is handy for storing game files. I am just trying to get some answers for now about why the /Users/ folder is just completely missing, at least in Recovery Mode. If all else fails, I have a hard drive enclosure arriving in a few days, which would hopefully allow me to access the files I need via another computer. I have considered reinstalling the OS, as I have read that it wouldn't overwrite the user folders, but I am somewhat worried to mess around with the drive at all, considering the corruption issue. So, I am hoping that this invisibility is just a change with Mojave? I have an older computer running Sierra, and when I go into Recovery Mode on that one, I am definitely able to see the /Users/ folder with no problem. So, my question is, does Recovery Mode hide this folder (for security reasons, etc)? Or is it possible that the folder is somehow lost in the corruption? This seems unlikely, but I am really worried that this might be the case. I've tried to think of where else I could access it, but it is simply not anywhere that is obvious to me as someone who has almost 2 decades of Mac experience. Normally that wouldn't be an issue for me, as I am experienced in Terminal enough to do that, but the issue I am facing is that my /Users/ folder is completely invisible when I try to find it via /Volumes/(OS partition name)/Users. ![]() My plan was to move off all of my user data via Terminal. But it was still relatively expensive for a spice today.ĭoTERRA: And, you know, we’ve talked a lot about cinnamon in general, the spice. Once that monopoly ended and people found out that you can grow it in other regions of the world, the price started to come down. And during the 17 th century, the Dutch seized the world’s largest cinnamon supplier on the island of Ceylon and then bribed and threatened those in control of other cinnamon suppliers in India to create a monopoly. Arabians in the 10 th century shared fantastical stories about where and how it was obtained to increase its value. Part of the reason why it was so expensive at times was manipulation by those who controlled its production and distribution. Combined with it growing in a very small geographic region, back then, that mean extensive travel to bring it to far away nations. Mostly it was highly valued because of supply and demand. It was so valuable that it was considered worthy of gifting to monarchs in history. Scott: You’re right in that it was highly prized in ancient cultures and at times considered more valuable than gold or ivory. Today, its use for wellness continues as pre-clinical research has revealed that it helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels, aids digestion, and possesses strong cleansing properties.ĭoTERRA: That is incredible and such a long history! Now, why is it that cinnamon has been so prized and valued? So, there’s kind of a theme in the ancient uses. Similarly, ancient Romans used it to aid their respiratory and digestive system. And physicians, during the Middle Ages, used it for throat irritation and respiratory complaints. The ancient Egyptians used it as part of the embalming process. Ayurvedic practitioners that are in India also mentioned its use for digestion and respiratory support.
